About us

Adjusting to the knowledge that you or a family member has diabetes takes time. Diabetes UK has over 350 voluntary groups, all run by volunteers.

By attending group meetings, people living with diabetes, family and friends can:

• meet and share their experiences

• find help and practical support

• help to raise awareness of diabetes

• make friends with people who understand the condition.

Diabetes UK voluntary support groups usually meet on a monthly basis often with a speaker on a diabetes-related topic. Many groups are also involved in awareness-raising, campaigning, fundraising and planning social events.

Wisbech Diabetes UK Group cannot give medical advice. For medical advice contact your local diabetes specialist nurse, or local diabetes centre.
